Cameron is going to be a big brother! We are absolutely ecstatic that we will be welcoming a new addition to our family come March 2011! As far as I can tell, my estimated due date is St. Patrick's Day! I always knew that I wanted my children to be close in age and this would put Cameron and his little brother or sister about 21 months apart. I got the positive digital result on 7/13 as seen above and and a confirmatory blood test done yesterday. It was also determined that I am anemic and have low iron. The nurse practitioner prescribed me prenatal vitamins with iron. Maybe this explains why I crave and eat ice all day everyday and am always freezing! Hopefully these prenatals will put me on the right track for a happy and healthy pregnancy! My first OB appointment is Aug. 18th. It seems so far away and I cannot wait to hear the little heartbeat. Cory and I are planning on taking Cameron with us to show him to Dr. Huffman who delivered him. I bet she will be shocked at our little chubster considering the peanut he was when he was born!
The last weekend in June we visited Cory's brother and our sister-in-law and niece and nephew! It was our first visit there since Carter was born! On the 26th we went to Chicago for the White Sox/Cubs game at US Cellular field for Cory's Father's Day present. Cam had a blast and waved to everyone and clapped. He made a few friends with all the people sitting around us. It is definitely something we would love to do again next summer if possible with the new baby!
We have had some very busy weekends the past month! During the week Cory and Cameron are home together while Cory is on break. Cameron is signed up for a Kindermusik class called Peek-a-boo I Love You which Cory takes him to every Tuesday (Cory is the only daddy in the class lol). Cameron loves being around the other kids and recognized all the music they learn. The CD that came in the class packet has really been a blessing as it calms Cameron down on the long car rides we have been taking lately.
4th of July weekend we travelled to Cory's mom's on Friday and she took us to the Evansville Zoo! Cameron loved seeing all of the animals. His favorite was watching the rhino walk around it's cage. A giraffe also came within 2 feet of Cameron's head while he was on my shoulders and he didn't even notice. We did get a picture though. It was great to visit Sally and we really enjoyed Cameron's first zoo trip. Above is a picture of Cory, Cam, and I at the zoo.
We then spent Saturday at Cory's dad's house with his family and watched the fireworks! We had a blast!
The following weekend we went to my cousin's wedding in Terre Haute and had a cookout/playdate for Cameron and two little girls my mom works with. This past weekend we went to Evansville because Cory was an usher in his cousin's wedding. It seems like this is the summer of weddings for us! We have 3 down and 2 to go!
Cameron is learning so much everyday and is a thrill to watch. He waves hello and goodbye and claps constantly for himself. He says mama, dada, dog, hi, hey, no, and is working on quite a few more! Last night, on our 2 year anniversary he finally walked 6 steps! Today he has taken quite a few steps on his own as well. He isn't walking around the house yet but I forsee that happening anytime once he gets a little more control over his wobble!
Cam is very into giving hugs and kisses. He blows kisses without the hand movement. It's more like he smacks his lips when you blow him a kiss lol It is absolutely adorable. Everyday when I get home from work, I sit on the floor and he crawls up me and wraps his arms around my neck. Then he gives me one of his big slobbery open mouthed kisses! It is the best part of my day!

We are so excited about what the rest of this year brings us with a new pregnancy and watching our baby boy develop into a toddler! Everyday with Cameron brings a sweet surprise of him learning something new. I hope to blog more often (I know I have said this before) and let everyone keep up on Cam's development and the new addition we are expecting to our family. Thank you to those of you who read this and I hope to bring you lots of joy in following along with our lives.
